Amarige is a bold, opulent white-floral fragrance with a bright and radiant character — described by many as bursting into a bouquet of flowers, joyful and with a maritime summer-evening sensibility.
It was introduced in 1991 by Givenchy, created by perfumer Dominique Ropion.
The name “Amarige” is an anagram of the French word mariage (meaning marriage) — evoking union, celebration, and radiance.
Top notes: A fruity-floral opening: peach, plum, mandarin orange, violet, orange blossom, neroli.
Heart (middle) notes: Rich white florals — tuberose, gardenia, jasmine, ylang-ylang, orchid, rose; also mimosa and black locust (acacia).
Base notes: Warm woods, musk, amber, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and cedar.
